You can choose your egg donor from a pool of available people. This is not the case with many other international clinics, where the donor is chosen for you.

The AAA rating

This sets our donors apart standing for Anonymous, Altruistic, Available and it neatly conveys what makes them special.

Anonymous correctly describes the confidentiality of Sims process. Anonymity is assured for both parties. The couple receiving the eggs will not have access to the identity of the donor. It is, however, a statutory requirement that the names of donors and recipients are recorded and held by the Sims Clinic. The names are not available to either party. The donor has no claims on, or obligations towards any resulting children. You and your partner are deemed to be the sole parents and guardians of the child and your names are on the child’s birth certificate.

Altruistic conveys the attitude of potential egg donors who come forward voluntarily. They have had their own children and so want to help others. There is no incentive other than compensation for expense, time, inconvenience and (small) risks involved in the procedure.

Available highlights the fact that there is no waiting list at Sims.

All of our donors must be fit and healthy and between the ages of 18 and 35 years. They must also have proven fertility. The donors are screened for problems relating to family health history and for transmissible infectious diseases and have consented to their eggs being donated.
