Sims Clinic Partnership with Intersono IVF Clinic

In the development of the EDE Programme, Sims IVF forged a partnership with Intersono Medical Centre in 2005. We selected a modern and leading edge IVF facility with an expert clinical team that we could work well with. 

Intersono is a leading IVF Clinic in Ukraine. We chose them because in Western Europe, where the trend is too have children later in life, the number of recipients outstrip the number of available donors. The reverse is true In Eastern Europe where couples have children in their 20’s and are therefore in a position to consider donating eggs.

Intersono has more than 35 highly qualified medical specialists with considerable expertise in IVF treatment carrying out over 500 cycles per year. They have quality management systems (QMS) that comply with ISO 9001:2008 requirements (certificate
first gained in 2004).

They were the first IVF clinic in the Ukraine with certified QMS. Intersono medical staff
are members of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.

Each doctor and embryologist has been trained by and works closely with Sims IVF in Dublin. Those involved with EDE at Intersono IVF speak English. We have taken every step possible to ensure that Intersono mirrors our protocols and standards. We have been very satisfied with the performance of our partner in Ukraine.

Importantly, a clinical staff member from Sims IVF always travels to the Ukraine with the sperm and back with the embryos, for security reasons.
